Chris McDevitt, Ph.D.

Professor McDevitt’s research group is focused on the study of fusion plasmas. Our aim is to develop computational and theoretical tools for the description of fusion plasmas in reactor relevant conditions. Areas of particular interest include:

• Tokamak disruption mitigation
• Runaway electron formation and evolution 
• Turbulence and transport in fusion plasmas
• Plasma kinetics
